Matt Kushy

Founding Partner

Matt is the Founding Partner of Canopy Search Group, LLC. His diversified career experience allows him to better understand his client's needs and empathize with candidate wishes for their next career move. Matt began his career in public accounting with PwC in their Asset Management Assurance group. He then moved on to become the second employee of B2R Finance (now Finance of America), a Blackstone Company, which created the nation's first commercial mortgage-backed security for the buy-to-rent industry.  Most recently, he was the Director of Finance at Driven Brands, a Roark Capital Group portfolio company.

Matt is a native of Wake Forest, NC and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Masters and Bachelors in Accounting and Financial Analysis before earning his North Carolina CPA license.
